European Eventing Championships at Blenheim Palace

Zara Phillips is going to produce a regal performance at the forthcoming European Eventing Championships at Blenheim Palace. 

That’s the call from VC Bet’s Dominique Hamblin who reckons Princess Anne’s daughter has what it takes to go all the way at the prestigious horse trials. 

”Zara is an extremely talented rider and her partnership with Toytown looks formidable,” she said. 

”Toytown was off injured last year but he has come back in fine form, he is a young horse without many miles on the clock and they can only improve as a pairing.” 

Germany’s Bettina Hoy heads the firm’s individual outrights. 

”Hoy is a big force at the moment and is in great form with her horse Ringwood Cockatoo. 

”She will be very keen to pick up gold to make up for losing her gold medal won at Athens where she incurred a massive time penalty in the show jumping phase for passing through the start twice that dropped her a long way down in the rankings,” added Hamblin. 

At bigger odds the equestrian expert singled out Franck Ostholt on Air Jordan (Germany) and Bumble Thomas on The Psephologist (GB. 

Hamblin continued: ”Kitty Boggis and Five Boys (GB) are also worth watching as although they are relatively inexperienced they rose to the occasion at Badminton this year and have proved to be an up and coming partnership.”
